I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be at Cannexus26 in Ottawa this January 26 to 28, 2026, and I want to meet you!

Career Professionals of Canada is proud to be a supporting organization for Canada’s popular bilingual Career Development Conference. CPC has been part of Cannexus for many years, and this year feels especially meaningful because I’ll be attending in person for the first time as your new Executive Director. CPC will have an exhibit, and we are looking forward to connecting with you.

Checking an Item Off My Wish List

Attending Cannexus “live” has been on my wish list for years. When my kids were younger, travelling to a national conference just wasn’t possible. Life was full, schedules were tight, and the timing never quite lined up. Now that the moment is finally right, I’m genuinely excited to say that I’ll be at Cannexus26 in person. I would love for you to come and meet me there.

So Much More Than Learning and Great Speakers

I’ve attended Cannexus virtually in the past, so I already know it offers much more than learning sessions and keynote speakers. It has a way of creating community in a way few conferences do. Even online, I felt welcomed. I didn’t know many people at the time, and I remember feeling a bit unsure about how to fit in. But by the end of the first day, I had met colleagues who later became mentors, friends, and collaborators. These early connections changed everything for me. They didn’t just make the conference more enjoyable. They shaped the way I work and how I think about career development every day.

That’s the magic of networking. When you take the time to connect with others, share experiences, and learn from one another, you gain insights you won’t find in books or online courses. You leave with ideas that spark innovation, the confidence to try new approaches, and a community that has your back.

This year at Cannexus26, Career Professionals of Canada (CPC) will be front and centre. I’ll be at the CPC exhibit, and we are rolling out the welcome mat to help you get to know your national association. Please stop by to meet me. As your new Executive Director, I want to learn all about you. I also want to tell you all about CPC and how we are planning to enhance our services to support your career with membership benefits, certification programs, and professional development opportunities.
