Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasingly important part of career development and professional practice. AI tools can support research, learning, communication, creativity, productivity, and innovation. As these technologies continue to evolve, they are influencing how information is created, accessed, organized, analyzed, and shared.
Career Professionals of Canada (CPC) supports the responsible and ethical use of AI in learning, work, professional practice, and organizational activities. We recognize both the opportunities and challenges associated with AI and encourage thoughtful, informed, and responsible use that supports human well-being, professional excellence, and public trust.
CPC's Code of Professional Conduct establishes the ethical principles, values, and standards that guide professional practice and organizational activities. It reflects CPC's commitment to ethics and integrity, professionalism and competence, diversity and inclusion, and community and relationships. CPC's Academic Integrity Policy establishes the expectations that support honesty, authenticity, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage within CPC’s learning programs and certifications. Together, these standards help guide the ethical use of AI across CPC activities.
