CPC Member Spotlight: Janice Richardson
Janice Richardson is a Career Transition Associate and Career Coach, and is certified through CPC as a Career Strategist, Employment Strategist, and Interview Strategist. She works with AccessHR in Calgary, AB, supporting professionals who have recently been laid off by guiding them with clarity, strategy, and renewed confidence as they pursue their next opportunity. Through her own practice, she also works with individuals at every stage of their job or career search.
Janice values the variety her work brings. She helps clients identify their strengths and transferable skills, gain clarity on their career direction, refine their résumés, develop effective job search strategies, and prepare for interviews so they can speak about themselves with confidence and purpose. Her approach is practical, personalized, and encouraging.
Before becoming a Career Coach, Janice built her career in HR and recruitment. As a recruiter, she enjoyed understanding people’s strengths and matching them to the right opportunities. Today, she brings that same insight to her coaching, helping clients find roles and career paths that truly fit.
Janice also volunteers with Mainsprings Pregnancy and Family Support Centre, equipping clients—many of whom are single mothers and newcomers—with tools and confidence for their employment journey.
She believes it is never too late to make a career transition. While change requires effort, meaningful and fulfilling work is always worth it.
