Deborah Gillam is a career and employment coach and a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) with more than 20 years of experience empowering diverse learners and job seekers to build confidence, clarify their direction, and secure meaningful employment. Known for her warm, organized, and student-centred approach, she has supported thousands of individuals through career transitions—from emerging professionals to mid-career changers stepping into the tech sector.

Deborah specializes in job search strategy, labour market navigation, and employer engagement, drawing on her strong background in mock interviewing, pre-screening, and developing industry-aligned career pathways. Her coaching experience spans respected organizations including The Roland Gossage Foundation’s Soldiers in Tech program, Lighthouse Labs, Uvaro, WorkBC, and leading design and technology schools. Across these roles, she has consistently built strong employer relationships, maintained meticulous case management standards, and delivered impactful workshops in résumé development, LinkedIn optimization, and interview success.

A committed contributor to the career development community, Deborah holds a Career Development Practice Certificate from Douglas College and previously served as a Board Member and Vice-President with Women in Film & Video. Her passion is driven by a belief that the right guidance can transform someone’s confidence—and their future.
