CPC Member of the Week: Andrea Fowler

Andrea Fowler is an esteemed member of CPC. With four years of experience as an Administration Officer at the NWT Career Centre in Yellowknife, Andrea brings valuable expertise to her role. A member of the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, she resides in a settlement near Yellowknife, which boasts a population of approximately 220 individuals. At the Career Centre, Andrea and her team cater to a diverse clientele, with a significant portion being Dene First Nations. Andrea finds inspiration through her clients. She skillfully aligns clients’ remarkable qualities with their career aspirations, all while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and driving performance. Andrea assists them with their résumés, utilizing the process to help them tap into their full potential and find direction based on their own desires and motivations. She has successfully conducted résumé and interview workshops for groups at Aurora College, catering to nursing students and Personal Support Workers. Andrea also contributed to the Youth Employment Support Services (YESS) program through the NWT Career Centre. She actively participates in career events such as Cannexus, as well as assisting at job fairs. Andrea has received certificates of completion for CPC’s Real-World Résumé Strategy course, Career Development Ethics course, and Career Development Theories course. One of her professional goals is also to complete the extensive CCDP application process. CPC Members Matter!
