CPC Member of the Week: Amber Hicks

Amber Hicks is a dedicated Employment Counsellor, certified by the Winnipeg Transition Centre (University of Winnipeg). She has also completed CPC’s Work-Life Strategist program. Amber holds additional credentials as a Strong Interest Inventory Practitioner from Psychometrics, a Motivational Interviewer from Empowering Change, and a Job Developer from the Ontario Disability Employment Network. With a passion for her work, she has experience working with Indigenous youth and has established her own practice. Currently, she serves as the Project Coordinator at Reaching E-Quality Employment Services (REES). In this role, she coordinates the RINT Project (REES Internship Project), which focuses on creating sustainable and inclusive work environments for persons with disabilities and health conditions. Amber actively contributes to the Manitoba Supported Employment Network’s Disability Employment Awareness Month Committee and holds the position of Member at Large on the Manitoba Association for Career Development’s board. She firmly believes that every career story is important and is committed to representing underserved demographics while supporting her clients’ journeys to success. CPC Members Matter!
