Dear colleagues,

The holiday season is upon us once again and we find ourselves looking forward to another brilliant and beautiful new year. As 2019 is winding down, we take a look back and are reminded of the fantastic members we have in our association. We have had an incredible year here at Career Professionals of Canada and we owe a great debt of gratitude to all of our very generous volunteers for contributing to our growth in 2019.

I would like to personally take this opportunity to thank all of you for being such a vital part of this community and for your ongoing support, encouraging CPC’s continued growth as “the place to be” for Canadian career practitioners.  Thank you for participating in our various events and forums. Your expertise and guidance have been indispensable assets to our organization and your insights are greatly appreciated. As a member-driven organization, we couldn’t do it without you and we wish you every success this season and beyond!

Inspired by the support and generosity of CPC’s professional members, we have made a donation to Plan International Canada on behalf of our association. Our gift will support the EMPOWER GIRLS IN CANADA program.

Today’s generation of girls face so many pressures and barriers that keep them from tapping their true power. It’s time we open doors for them, right here at home. This gift offers growth opportunities to girls in Canada who are facing unique challenges. It funds inclusive sports programs, and training and workshops to develop public speaking skills, self-esteem, knowledge, and the confidence to lead. At the same time, it engages local boys and men to redefine gender norms and advocate for gender equality. The program also extends seats at major conferences so girls can make their voices heard — putting words to action — and carves space for mentorship in diverse fields, proving girls belong wherever they choose. This gift invests in our nation’s girls to drive positive change — ensuring they not only have a strong platform to stand on, but showing them that they can build that platform themselves.

With gratitude and wishing you every success this holiday season and in the new year!

Your number one fan. Always.

Sharon
