CPC Member Spotlight: Eman Ismail-Elmasri
With a deep commitment to turning barriers into opportunities for skilled trades workers, Eman Ismail-Elmasri founded and is the CEO of Skilled Trades Prep Inc., a Canadian-registered organization that supports internationally trained skilled trades professionals in navigating Ontario’s certification and licensing processes.
A member of Career Professionals of Canada, Eman holds certifications as a Certified Career Strategist (CCS), Certified Employment Strategist (CES), Certified Work-Life Strategist (CWS), and Certified Résumé Strategist (CRS). She is a Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) and holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management. Finally, she is a 2025 CPC Awards of Excellence recipient of Outstanding Career Professional and contributed to CPC’s Future Strategist (CFS) program.
With over 20 years in newcomer settlement and employment services, Eman advocates for workforce integration. Additionally, she builds partnerships and contributes to skilled trades steering committees supporting sector development.
Through Skilled Trades Prep Inc., Eman focuses on bridging the gap between international experience and Canadian licensing requirements. By guiding clients through the Trades Equivalency Assessment (TEA) and exam preparation, she helps them complete certification pathways more efficiently.
Eman believes people shouldn’t restart to prove existing skills and works to ensure their experience is recognized and valued.
Eman, I really appreciate your focus on helping internationally trained professionals have their existing skills and experience recognized rather than feeling they must start over. It’s such meaningful and important work, both for individuals and for the workforce as a whole. It sounds as though your CPC award of excellence was well deserved!
