CPC Member Spotlight: Kathleen Weston

Kathleen Weston

Kathleen Weston’s journey as a Certified Résumé Strategist (CRS) began in 1998, when a job loss sparked a new chapter of reinvention. While returning to school to explore the emerging world of computer technology, she discovered a passion for helping others tell their career stories. That passion led to freelance résumé writing, which quickly evolved into a lifelong vocation. Her enthusiasm for technology earned her a role as a Word Processing Operator at Seneca College. Within two years, she was teaching continuing education courses, an endeavour she continued until 2014.

In 2005, Kathleen became one of the original members of Career Professionals of Canada (CPC), embracing the organization’s mission to elevate career development across the country. She earned her Certified Résumé Strategist designation and, in 2010, began volunteering as a Certification Assessor, a role she held with dedication until 2022. Her commitment to mentoring and professional excellence helped shape CPC’s certification standards and inspired countless practitioners.

Kathleen’s work has been published in The Directory of Professional Résumé Writers—edited by industry leader Louise Kursmark—further affirming her expertise and impact. Today, she supports clients nationwide—from entry-level job seekers to senior executives—with strategic insight and genuine empathy through her professional résumé writing firm, A Résumé to Remember.
