The Rich Repository of Resources in CPC’s Facebook Group

By Christine Cristiano.

It’s been said that one of the keys to success is to surround oneself with like-minded people; the CPC Facebook Group enables group members to do just that. Whether you are flying solo in your own private company or working within an organization helping individuals along their job search journey, having access to a platform to connect and share resources, knowledge, and best practices is a win-win for all parties.

Since the decision to launch the CPC Facebook Group in mid-2017, membership and participation has skyrocketed.

When CPC’s Social Media Team reviewed the group’s posts, the idea of developing a designated page to store the broad spectrum of resources contributed by members was envisioned and launched in the fall of 2017. Before the creation of the resource document, trying to find a specific link contained within a post was a time-consuming activity that required one to scroll through dozens of posts to locate the sought-after information. Now, these links are all housed in one convenient location.

The resource page contains links to helpful information relevant to résumé writers, career coaches, and anyone who works with job seekers. As new links are posted, the document is updated and new categories are added. Today you will find useful links under the subheadings:

  • Business Productivity – Resources to simplify your work processes and boost productivity.
  • Career Coaching Resources – Resources for career coaches and also suitable for other industry subsectors.
  • Job Boards – List of job boards curated from visitors’ posts.
  • Résumé Writing Resources – Helpful tips and advice for résumé writers in the group.

The resource document continues to evolve and expand as, thanks to CPC’s Facebook Group members, new informative links are generously offered up in support of fellow career professionals.

Currently, only the Facebook Group administrators and social media moderators can add links. After careful consideration, the Social Media Team agreed that the document would be best curated and maintained by limiting editing access. If you have a resource you would like to share, please feel free to post it to the group, and a member of CPC’s Social Media Team will capture it from there.

To locate the resource document on the CPC Facebook Group, proceed to the left-hand side of the Newsfeed and locate FILES. Click on FILES, and you will find the resource document titled Resources for Career Professionals. There are a few other documents of interest there, too.

Thanks to all group members who have contributed to, and made use of, our shared treasure trove of resource links. Oh, and if you’re not already a CPC Facebook Group member, what are you waiting for? Join us…you’ll be glad you did!
