Join CDPCBO for their Annual General Meeting on September 27th, 2018, in Toronto
Join the Career Development Practitioners Certification Board of Ontario on September 27th, 2018 for an evening of learning, networking, and professional development at The Forth, located at 629 Danforth Ave, Toronto, Ontario.
The evening kicks off at 5 pm with the Annual General Meeting. All CDPCBO members are welcome to join the Board and Advisory Committee to hear about the organization’s achievements and successes over the past year, as well as a bunch of exhilarating procedural stuff.
This year’s keynote, Thriving in the Future of Work, is presented by Caroline Konrad, Director of the Career & Co-op Centre at Ryerson University
AI and robotics are creating the greatest changes to the labour market since the industrial age. Thriving in the future of work will depend not only on technical know-how but on possessing the critical human skills demanded of tomorrow’s economy. Flourishing as a country entails ensuring all those entering the labour market are equipped to contribute to and thrive in it. Against this backdrop, the role of Career Development Practitioners has never been more critical.
After the keynote, stick around, enjoy an appetizer, and mingle with fellow Career Development Practitioners working in a variety of different fields including managers, employers, funders, service providers, and more. If you’re thinking about applying for Certification this is a great opportunity for you to talk to colleagues in the field that have completed the process, and the board members who evaluate applications.
