Happy Father’s Day!

Father’s Day in Canada occurs on the third Sunday of June. It is not a statutory holiday (federal or provincial), but it is a special day where the focus is on showing appreciation for our fathers and those who represent father figures to us.
On Father’s Day, we recognize and honour fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, fathers-in-law, and other fathers we may know and respect. To express our gratitude, we give them cards and small gifts. We might also do something special for them such as preparing a favourite meal, sharing a backyard picnic, or spending quality time doing something they love to do.
