Course-Based Certification Program: Fast-Track Your Certification

Certification is open to experienced career professionals who have successfully completed CDP courses or equivalent college/university programs. Upon successfully passing an approved course, you will have completed the base requirements for the associated certification through Career Professionals of Canada’s Course-Based Program. You will bypass the formal work product submission and review. You must pay the application fee to be granted the certification. Learn more:

If you have you completed a Career Development Practitioner (CDP) program or course through an accredited college or university, let us help you apply your credits towards your CPC certifications. Contact us to learn how you can get a CPC Certification through the Course-Based Program.

If you have completed CPC’s Career Development Practitioner Certificate Courses, you may be eligible to be granted your certification through the Course-Based Program.

To apply and maintain your certification, you must be a registered professional member of CPC. The fee is $295.00 for each certification application. There is no renewal fee.

1. In order to apply for and attain your certification, you must be a registered professional member of Career Professionals of Canada.
2. Once you have registered for membership, apply for certification. If you are not already a professional member, you can join membership and apply for your certification at the same time.
3. We'll send you a comprehensive eGuide as a resource.
4. In order to be pre-approved through the course-based process, email info@CareerProCanada.ca. Attach a scanned copy of your certificate of completion or course transcript for the course, along with a copy of your résumé.

To start the certification process, all you need to do is:

• Register for CPC Membership
• Apply for your Certification

For pre-approval of your eligibility for the course-based process, email a copy of your course transcript or certificate of completion, along with a copy of your résumé. Send your documents directly to info@CareerProCanada.ca with the subject line “Course-Based Program Pre-Approval.” Include the following statement in the body of your email: “I have reviewed and agree to comply with all directives outlined in CPC’s Code of Professional Conduct.”

Your certification will be valid as long as you maintain your membership to Career Professionals of Canada. There is no re-certification fee.
