Father's Day

Father’s Day in Canada occurs on the third Sunday of June. It is not a statutory holiday (federal or provincial), but it is a special day where the focus is on showing appreciation for our fathers and those who represent father figures to us. On Father’s Day, we recognize and honour fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, fathers-in-law, and other fathers we may know and respect. To express our gratitude, we give them cards and small gifts. We might also do something special for them such as preparing a favourite meal, sharing a backyard picnic, or spending quality time doing…

We recognize not just our own mothers, but grandmothers, step-mothers, mothers-in-law, and other mothers we may know and admire. To express our appreciation, we give them cards, flowers, chocolates, or handmade gifts. Mother’s Day 2020…

Colourful painted Easter eggs

Easter brings the promise of new beginnings and a fresh start. Around the world, Christians observe Easter Sunday as a religious holiday that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But Easter 2020 will be very different as people around the globe self-isolate to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
