WCG is excitedly anticipating the launch of our Calgary Career Hub in the Crowfoot area of Calgary. We will be growing our team in order to support a rapid implementation of this new employment service. Team members will assist in the successful delivery of job placement services to a diverse Client base of unemployed Albertans who wish to rapidly enter/re-enter the workforce. Calgary Career Hub will help Clients develop the job search skills needed for effective labour market transitions now and in the future.

The Workshop Facilitator educates, inspires and supports Clients to achieve employment. Facilitators are responsible for ensuring all Calgary Career Hub workshop topics and curriculum support a Client’s employment goals. Through instruction techniques that are suitable for a variety of learning styles, the Workshop Facilitator will help Clients build their skills for employment. This role is responsible for ensuring learning outcomes are clear and achievable, and that Clients have a clear benchmark for their learning progress. The curriculum includes topics such as: Job Search in a Recession, Resume Writing, Networking, Interview Skills, Self-marketing, Adaptability and Change Management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3 to 5 years’ facilitation experience within the career development field
  • direct experience leading groups of unemployed individuals, and a strong understanding of the issues they face in seeking employment
  • experience using technology in workshop delivery, such as SmartBoards, webinars etc.
