Career Link is searching for a compassionate and resourceful individual to join us as a Client Services Coordinator. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional interpersonal skills, a background in counselling within employment programs, comfort with technology, and the desire to lead the 10+ Client Services Team in innovating and delivering employment services at our WorkBC Centre in Powell River.

The Client Services Coordinator is a member of Career Link’s Coordinating Team. In collaboration with the Career Link Manager and the Training Services Coordinator, this position provides leadership to the Client Services Team within the Employment Program of BC (EPBC).

This position leads a team of professional staff, while overseeing client-service delivery. Primary responsibility is the leadership of 10+ direct reports – members of the counselling team, front-end team and Career Lab/Labour Market Information team.

This position assesses services to all clients to ensure their unique needs are met from the moment they walk in the door. The Coordinator oversees the delivery of Integrated Case Management (ICM) and EPBC policy training for Career Link and subcontractor case managers, and carries a client load as required to understand and implement improvements to program delivery, including staff initiated ideas.

The Client Services Coordinator provides daily support to the Client Services Team to ensure services align with agency guidelines and EPBC policy. As a member of the Career Link Coordinating Team, the ideal candidate will attend ministerial meetings and represent Career Link at interagency meetings.


  • Post-secondary degree, training in counselling, leadership and/or human resource management, and/or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • CCDP designation an asset
  • Successful experience in a leadership capacity
  • Successful experience working in a counselling role, within the EPBC an asset
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Demonstrated experience using diverse software; knowledge of ICM an asset
