WCG is excitedly anticipating the launch of our Calgary Career Hub in the Crowfoot area of Calgary. We will be growing our team in order to support a rapid implementation of this new employment service. Team members will assist in the successful delivery of job placement services to a diverse Client base of unemployed Albertans who wish to rapidly enter/re-enter the workforce. Calgary Career Hub will help Clients develop the job search skills needed for effective labour market transitions now and in the future.

The Career Advisor/Team Lead takes the lead role in day-to-day case management and Centre operations to ensure appropriate services and supports are provided for a broad range of Clients with varying levels of skill, education and experience. This role ensures that Clients receive appropriate referrals to other resources in the community, acts as the key, on-going contact for the Clients throughout the service continuum, and will facilitate one-to-one workshops as needed basis.

This position is responsible for supervising Centre staff, scheduling Centre activities, and ensuring adherence to WCG and Ministry policies and practices.

The successful candidate will have:

  • a minimum of 3 years’ supervision experience
  • 3 to 5 years of job placement or case management experience
  • strong direct service skills; must demonstrate a range of direct service skills with unemployed persons of all skill, experience and education levels
